Poured from a 16 oz can into my tulip snifter.

Look: Looks beautiful. Light gold, hazy body. Nice off-white head which is retained through drinking. Lots of lacing on glass.

Smell: Hop forward. Sweet candied citrus: more orange than lemon, not as bitter as grapefruit. the container said there are melon notes, and I was skeptical, but there is definitely melon on the back end: green melon and slight cantaloupe. I don't really detect much malt on the nose.

Taste: Candied orange. Some fresh cut flowers (weird that this beer doesn't smell as floral as it tastes, if that makes sense). The melon notes are almost tart--this beer is in no way sour, but the hoppy tannin's sort of cause that sensation to me. It's a very juicy beer. Definitely picking up some guava notes too. With that note on tannins, the ABV is on the slightly higher end so I do pick up some black peppery, boozy notes.

Feel: Medium bodied + if that makes sense. This is by no means a chore to drink, but it definitely feels heavier than a regular IPA. I'd love to pair this with food.

Overall: This is the best smaller release CC beer I've had in a long time. Obviously a very hop-forward beer but this beer comes off as fresh and delicious. Excellent beer to end a long summer day. I think the $16 price point is definitely justified here (compared to some of their other 4 pack offerings).

Excellent head production and retention; nice lacing. Body is hazy and lemon-yellow; no visible floaties.

Nose is bright and fresh, with a strong lemon note that shines from several feet away. Pretty dank up close, along with fresh garden herbs, in particular parsley and basil. Other notes include ruby red grapefruit and mint.

Remarkably juicy on the palate, really incredible, especially for the ABV. Fairly dank, but it's entirely complementary. Juicy, juicy, juicy. Grapefruit, orange, lemon; oregano, basil, pepper; pineapple, papaya, mango.
