This year's release is a barrel aged stout (13.7%) made from specially selected barrels in collaboration with our friends WeldWerks Brewing Co. Representatives from each brewery came together to identify two barrels that would complement each other and create a unique beer that cannot be reproduced. Expect notes of vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar, along with a sweet but gently bitter taste and warming mouthfeel.

Appearance: Pours a thick black color with no head, but very leggy
Smell: Bourbon barrel, dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla tones
Taste: The Bourbon barrel makes an impact at the outset, complementing the dark chocolate and caramel flavors; through the middle, the oaky aspect builds, bringing subtle Bourbon tones to the fore, with a hint of vanilla; well-balanced and not overly sweet on the finish
Mouthfeel: Thick bodied with low carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall: Really nice Bourbon barrel treatment here with all the elements coming together
