Our take on a hazy IPA is easy-drinking and lighter in color with a bright citrusy and fruit-forward flavor and aroma with tangerine, grapefruit, nectarine, peach, and apricot notes.

Copenhagen 12/3 2026. 35,5 cl can from DrikBeer web-shop. Blue and green can with different landscapes. A city, a mountain range, fields and so on.
Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet fermented odor of over-ripe stone fruits mingling with a scent of citrus fruit. Mango anf bruised peach. Alcohol. Grapefruit and lime. Pleasant yet sharp.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little sharp. Lingering. Finish is dry.
Bigger, bitter dreams.

LOOK: Pours a highly hazed pale straw yellow with some orange hues, and an all white head that has very good retention and maintains 360 degree side glass lace.
AROMA: Herbal esters, and citrus with some apricot and tropical fruit. (Mango?)
TASTE: Citrus is neither tart or bitter. I get some grapefruit with the apricot and a little melon.
Easy drinking NEIPA>

Another fine beer from Creature Comforts. I generally really like their IPA's, and this New England style IPA is no exception. Pours cloudy, as you would expect from the style, with a citrusy/piney aroma, and a nice juicy citrusy taste. A bit moreish, it keeps me going back. Moderately crisp mouthfeel, but soft enough to keep going back for more. A nice beer.

Maybe bigger things do come in hazier packages. Creature Comforts forecasts a cloudy beer session along with the added threat of fruit, softness and balance.
Bigger Dreams rolls in with a pale straw appearance, hazy but not turbidly so, creamy with a soft white crown and a billowing scent of citrus, green tropics and herbal character. A soft but semi-dry sweetness of cereal, angel food cake and honeysuckle splash the tastebuds with a malty and grainy-sweet start.
Relaxing malt sweetness allows the hops to creep into the forefront with lime, under ripened orange, white grapefruit and lemon. Adjoining the session are more hop flavors of kiwi, passionfruit, young mango and gooseberry before developing an herbal balance of verbena, hemp, sassafras and cedar.
A slight hop tilt eventually lands the session at a hop forward balance and smoothly bitter yet sharply dry. Its a nice beer that shows the smaller side of hazy flavor, so maybe midsized things do come in small packages.

12 oz can from the Wall of Beer in Clemson, SC ($2.19).
This light bodied IPA with low bitterness drinks like a session IPA. The excellent, soft, medium carbonation and semi-dry finish make the mouthfeel considerably better than expected given the light body. Very good fruity flavor with a comparatively dank aroma.

Surprisingly boring IPA from my fave brewery. Cross between NEIPA and American IPA. Everything else from this brewery is top flight

This just isn’t Creature Comforts-good for a near-7% hazie. Looks and tastes more like a low ABV version. Creature Comforts makes a lot of really good beers, but this isn’t their best IMO.

Appearance: Hazy, straw yellow. Fluffy white head with very good retention,
Aroma: Initial herbal, earthy note, gives way to citrus and tropical fruit.
Flavor: Herbal, spicy, and citrusy. Grainy on the backend. Low bitterness. Low sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied. Medium stringency. Drying.
Overall: Interesting NEIPA. Almost a cross between NEIPA and traditional IPA. Many others have better aroma. I think they missed the mark on the hops combo but they have several IPAs that get it right. This has a herbal, earthy note initially (I'd guess there is Mosiac in it) that gives way to citrus and tropical fruit. It's more bitter than most in this category but that actually gives it better balance. Malt pokes through with a grainy aroma and flavor (not a bad thing). Light bodied and more dry. It lends itself to encourage drinking a few more. It actually grew on me as I drank it.
