16 ounce can - $4.25 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.

On: 09/11/23, By: 01/11/24

Appearance: Pours a fairly clear, tan-toned body with a medium-sized, off-white head.

Smell: Middling morningtime toast, a pinch, a sprinkling of dried herbs.

Taste: A taste of crisp toast, yielding minimal sweetness. Herbal-hinted hops with a low, light bitterness, though it comes across as a bit more pronounced, as its malt aspect is pretty flat.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A clean albeit one-note beer lacking that inviting malt depth and distinctiveness.

October 2023.Hartwell. Overall vey good. Best domestic Marzen I have tasted thus far. Still prefer the ones from Germany. This one is a little lighter and not as full feeling. Slightly bitter. Would buy again.

Appearance: Slightly cloudy amber. Fluffy white head with good retention.

Aroma: Floral & bready.

Flavor: Bready, spicy hops. Moderate bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied. Dry.

Overall: I'll give CCB credit for trying. Not really what they are known for. It's drinkable from a dry and lighter bodied stand point. But lacks the malt depth & complexity you expect. A little too bitter, as bitterness lingers well after the finish. They should probably go with a Festbier style or really tweak this one.
