Our take on one of the classic monastic ales of Belgium, the tripel. A bold drinking experience of floral hops selected form our favorite Belgian hop farm, Belgian barley, and a beautiful Belgian yeast expression.

Appearance: Served up a dark gold-hued body, fairly clear with a whitish head. Light lacing on the descent.

Smell: Scantily bready malts given a coat of honey. Floral tones, a bit boozy.

Taste: Honeyish, slightly bready. Perfumy florals and a splash of orange wine. Lightly phenolic hint of clove. More booze.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-low carboantion. Mouthfeel has some heft to it with a slight creaminess.

Overall: Hmm. Not so good, frankly. Look, there are many styles and beers that Creature Comforts does very, very well. Perhaps Belgian beers just aren't in their wheelhouse.
