Copenhagen 21/4 2019. 50 cl bottle from Ølhandleren in Give (Web-shop). No nonsense label where they almost give the total recipe of the beer. Cute logo with a lion head and paws.
Pours murky, opaque dark brown with a small white head. Settles as a lonely patch of thin foam. No Lacing.
Aroma is dark, sweet and vineous. Sherry, sugar, fermented plums. Light sour notes. Very light touch of funk.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily texture.
Flavor has strong sweetness followed by a light sour bitterness. Aftertaste has a notable tartness and and a more moderate sweetish undercurrent. Lingers for a while.
It might be that the yeast travelling the Danish airwaves is not as exciting as what you encounter in Belgium. But an interesting take on the Wild.
