I visited Loď Pivovar a couple days ago. It’s the second brewery-on-a-boat I’ve visited (after Dunajský Pivovar in Bratislava, also in the former Czechoslovakia). Loď follows the pretty common Central European model of “restaurant that brews its own beer”, and as such has very much a restaurant vibe (with a bit of a nautical theme, as is to be expected, since you’re on a boat). The brewhouse is right there in the main dining room, which is super cool to see.
There were 4 beers on tap when I visited, all lagers: a light pale lager, a typical pale lager, a dark lager, and an IPL. I had the stnadard light and dark lagers, and they were pretty solid, although the dark lager wasn’t enitrely to my taste. Service was prompt and English is no problem at all. I didn’t have a whole meal, just the kulajda (mushroom soup), but that was super good. I’d definitely go back to Loď if the opportunity presented itself.
