A black pour with an inch of tannish foam.
Smell is big on the vanilla! Rum isn't far behind.
Taste brings no surprises. Smooth vanilla notes enhanced by a delicious flavour from the Rum. Very low level of bitterness but this is far from being too sweet. Some heat from the alcohol though, abv wise, it's not a heavy hitter.
Smooth mouthfeel.
Nice beer!

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a super deep brown/nearly pitch black color with a one finger head of tan foam. The head has a great level of retention, leaving tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a roasted malt smell mixed with a little bit of a toasted bready. There is a ton of a rummy boozy aroma mixed with a rather strong smell of chocolate and molasses as well. Along with these smells comes a light vanilla smell mixing with the rest to give a nice warming smell to the brew.
Taste – The taste begins with a roasted malt flavor with a decent showing of some chocolate and rum right from the start. The booze taste grows stronger as the taste moves forward with some vanilla and a bit more chocolate coming to the tongue as well. A bit of caramel comes at the end of the taste, mixing with the other flavors of the brew to leave one with a rather big and boozy rich roasty and chocolate taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is somewhat on medium side for the rum and boozy tastes with a carbonation that is nice and low, which for the rich dark and bourbon flavors of the brew is rather nice. Overall the feel was rather well done.
Overall – This beer was awesome. It was nice and warming in its boozy laden porterness. Super tasty!!
