In celebration of our 20 year anniversary, we brewed a New England IPA (both the Owner Sam and Head Brewer Justin are from NE). This beer is a super hazy, super juicy, unfiltered IPA with a heavy and creamy mouthfeel followed by a nice grapefruit burst on the end.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very hazy orange-yellow color with a tall head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, very slowly fading and leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is quite strong of a peach and apricot mixed with lots of tropical fruits of tangerine, mango, and papaya. Along with these aromas comes a strong showing of oatmeal and a big bready smell. Other smells of grapefruit, caramel, herb and grass are there as well, producing a rather big smell overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a big oatmeal and biscuit malt base mixed with some of the fruit that was in the nose. The fruit is not as pronounced as I was anticipating, but contained a moderate amount of orange, melon, guava, and papaya. There is a little bit of hop upfront as well, with notes of herbal and earthy hops and a touch of grapefruit and pine. The hops are rather light and remain so throughout the taste. Toward the end of the flavor transition, some grass and hay join in, and with a bit more raw hop and some chalk one is left with a moderately juicy and malty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly more chewy side with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – A decent, slightly more malty but very approachable hazy IPA.

Look: Pours like an orange Julius and looks about the same in the glass with a poofy white head that holds as a pillow
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Candied orange, tangerines, cantaloupe melon, raspberries, mandarins, sweetened strawberries, and bready malt
Taste: A slew of juicy citrus jump starts this taste adventure and unfolds as each element is evident and then blends into the bunch. Melon and berries mix in throughout and closes with juicy orange and raspberries
Mouthfeel: Full, soft, medium-high carbonation, and soft and smooth on the finish with just a touch of astringency
Overall: I dig it. This is a good hazy IPA that checks all the style boxes and drinks nice and well-made. The chewy feel and astringent finish are my main issue with most hazies and this doesn’t really suffer from those, which is always a plus in my book too

RED LODGE – ENJOY THE RIDE -HAZY 6.5 IBU
This is an easy drinking fruit forward cloudy hazy beer that truly wonderful. It’s everything you want in a good hazy beer. There is prominent apricot peach flavor with enough citrus flavor to be a complex mix with a only a little tannins so not to scare away most drinkers. It would be an easy treat to most beer drinkers who mainly drink Amber beers while not being too sweet for IPA drinkers. I highly recommend this beer.
