The aroma is malty and slightly hoppy with notes of caramel and grass and occasionally something grainy. The appearance is amber with a medium head that fades quickly. The taste is like the aroma with malts upfront and a lingering bitter sweetness. The flavor is balanced and neither too sweet nor too dry. The palate is average for the style. Overall there is stuff to like in this beer and the only thing I didn't dig was a touch of astringency.

Appearance: Slow pour to get 2/3 into a Pilsner glass. Fast forming generous egg white bubbly and very creamy head over a bronze orange cloudy base with heavy sustained carbonation. Very nice. 4.25
Aroma: Toasty biscuit and caramel, mild to medium strength. 3.5
Taste: Consistent flavor, caramel sharp, light biscuit notes. Medium strength. 3.5
Mouthfeel: Light gentle to nearing prickly carbon gives added depth to a medium body. Nice balance, hops presence deters excess sweetness. Malty caramel finish. 3.75
Overall: This is a good Amber Lager, nice balance, mellow chill strength. Expected flavors. No show stoppers, just a good enjoyable selection. 3.75
