Pours a hazy light orange with soft, fine head.
Smell is juicy with notes of grapefruit, peach, pine and... baby powder?
Taste is piney with notes of grapefruit, unripe mango, a bit of booze, moderate bitterness with some burn. But everything is sort of shrouded in a slight mist of baby powder.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a good DIPA, but the baby powder was weird.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had an orange / yellow color and a very cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: A solid aroma of hops, citrus fruit, berries, tropical fruit, and malt.
T: Tasted of some citrus fruit (orange, in particular), lots of tropical fruit (pineapple, passion fruit), light malt notes (mostly in the finish), a hint of berries (kind of fleeting), and some hops (not a massive factor). This is a well-balanced and focused flavor. It's fruity, but not cloying, mostly thanks to the DDH factor. Pretty tasty.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a dry, smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A well made, easy to drink beer. Worth a try.

Poured a cloudy orange with an off white smallish head.
Smells of weak orange and some tropical fruit.
Taste is a bit muted. Citrus and tropical. Decent but a bit underwhelming.
Mouthfeel was nice and soft-easy drinking and smooth.
This was pretty good but nothing I would chase after.

Tried it fresh on tap at El Bait Shop in Des Moines.
The beer was incredibly smooth and after a few NEIPAs, it still proved to be a stronger contender.

Appearance - From the can, the beer poured a hazy orange-yellow color with a white head.
Smell - The nose was lightly orange with a hint of guava.
Taste - The first impression I has was canned citrus fruit with a metallic taste. There were definite orange and guava notes. The dankness paralleled guava with a hint of spicy peach in back.
Mouthfeel - The viscosity is appropriate for the style.
Overall - The tropical notes seemed to have been forced into the beer from a can. It is very drinkable, but is somewhat lacking freshness.

Double dry hopped New England style IPA poured from a can into a Listermann's pub glass. The pour is light orange in color and quite hazy with 2 fingers of clumpy off-white foam. The nose is superb. I get big, fresh notes of orange pulp, pineapple, peach, and honeydew melon.
Medium-light body with a soft feel and a balanced flavor. The hops are soft and citrusy and there is ample malt to support them. Up front when the malt hits you the most you get the flavor of fresh biscuits with lemon curd. As the hops fade a bit the sweetness comes through a bit more and the beer takes on a honey-like flavor which goes very nicely with the citrusy hops. The finish is short-lived and a bit disappointing, but while it's there you enjoy the honey, lemon, and hints of orangepeel. This beer may not appeal to many IPA fans as they may find the sweetness objectionable. I think it's really enjoyable.

L: hazy, turbid, thick yellow orange color, small head, minimal lacing
S: fruity nose, but I expect more from DDH
T: has that mango/papaya smoothie taste too it, with a bit of a bitter finish
F: great mouthfeel, completely coats the mouth
O: good beer, I like my NEIPAs a little less bitter

Much of the marketing in beer is in the name and description. Its a crowded market and everyone's trying to stand out. But once that selection is made it's now down to the flavor. Abomination's New England styled imperial IPA masters the wordplay in a masterful, clever and unique way. Now let's see if they can have us coming back for a second can, based on flavor.
Double Dry Hopped All About the Wordplay gets past its own marketing with a very haze golden color, just off of any turbid nature. As a frothy ivory head builds, its complex and fruit forward scent swoons the nose with tropical, citrus, orchard and berry impressions along with an green, herbal array. But a soft maltiness greets the tongue with notions of shortcake, dough and honeysuckle looming.
A slow release of sweetness eventually allows the hops to unfold on the middle palate to reveal a radiant taste of tangerine, mango and papaya. Secondary flavors of gooseberry, kiwi, peach and apricot trail before a crisp grapefruit bitterness offers a slight sherbet tanginess as the malts continue to fade into a malty dry graham cracker character. Trailing bitterness is lightly peppery with green hoppiness in the shape and form of chive, green tea and soft spruce resins.
Medium bodied and drying beautifully, the beer trends malty dry with a refreshing, crisp and cleanly bitter finish. A medium long aftertaste of citrus and herbs have a light botanical gin and mint spice.
