DDH NE IPA brewed with pale malt, flaked oats and wheat. Hopped aggressively with an irresponsible amount of Summer, Styrian Dragon, Vic Secret and Mosaic hops.

I personally thought this beer was horrible.
No balance to the force, I mean beer

L super Hazy/Cloudy

T Hops. And more hops.
Next to no detectable malt flavors. Just hops.

O Drain pour. Although I drank it. I don't believe in wasting beer. There are sober children in Africa.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 6/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is an excellent NEDIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Nicely soft feel and not overly aggressive. Awesome Summer, Styrian Dragon, Vic Secret and Mosaic profile. Super juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a great wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness, well attenuated for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example as expected. No complaints.

A - Opaque golden tan color with thin lacing.

S - Mango, papaya, and pineapple aroma.

T - Follows the nose with tropical fruit pulp-like flavor from start to finish - papaya, mango, pineapple, and spicy fruit rind. Some alcohol and alcohol burn shows up midway through which creates an almost off flavor-like sensation.

M - Thick, chewy, and "pulpy" and dry on the back of the tongue.

O - Dig the peppery side of this beer. Solid, but needs a few tweaks if it wants to finish high in a crowded field of New England style IPA's.

16 oz can poured into a snifter.

Very hazy yellow color-small white head that leaves small traces of lacing.

Big orange, tangerine, pineapple and mango on the nose. Taste mimics the nose. Very juice like. Finish is bitter grapefruit rind.

Light carbonation, light-medium mouthfeel.

Why this is not categorized as as a NEIPA is beyond me but whatever. Nice hop profile and love that it is not sweet. I will revisit very soon.
