Can dated 6/2/20 into pint glass. Pours a murky amber-brown with a brief off-white head. Initial imression is pineapple and pine, with some tropical fruits to a lesser degree and just a touch of peppery spiciness. Mouthfeel is very soft and juicy. Finish is slightly sweet, and very juicy.
I tried this because of the Vic Secret hops, which has been one of my favorites. I'm not disappointed!
I'll be interested to try the Sabro variant.

I am really working to clear out a swath of my backlog & in so doing, I am running into/up against/ through a buncha CANs for The CANQuest (tm). It is actually heartening to see some of these & drink them up. Cheers!

From the CAN: "Wandering Into The Fog Double India Pale Ale [-] Vic Secret"; "Double Dry Hopped with Vic Secret".

I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. I immediately noticed that clarity was not going to be a CANcern, but I CANtinued on at the same pace. I was met with two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was REALLY tropical with pronounced notes of pineapple and coconut as well as some of the softer fruits like guava and papaya. 8=O Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but on the approach. The taste was like a fruit smoothie or a Julius at the stand at the mall - lots of fruit flavor, especially of pineapple and coconut, but also Southern Hemisphere fruits like guava, papaya and mango. Mmm. That said, I was let down by the lack of bitterness throughout. I expect a greater sense of bitter from this style & I was not getting it here. Finish was semi-dry, only because it really was not sweet, despite all of the fruit flavors. Hmm. YMMV.
