16oz can from Tavour. Hazy golden pour, one finger fluffy white head that lasts a long time. Floral, fruity aroma with a bread dough back end. Taste is biscuity, malty with a hoppy edge, moderate bitterness. Most of the Nelson notes are in the aroma. For me at least.

I’m a sucker for nelson sauvin hops so i ponied up the 20 dollars (after tax) for 4 mere days old pints. This tastes exactly as you might expect a single hopped Nelson beer would taste. It’s very understated: subtle white grape, ethereal vanilla pear. it’s lacking the kind of bitterness that a blend of hops might give to a superior beer. I have no idea what’s in this other than Nelson, but I’m guessing it’s only Nelson. While, I don’t love the price tag. I can’t help but love the flavor of good fresh beer brewed with Nelson Hops.

I love Nelson sauvin hopped beers and this one is no exception. Triple dry-hopped no less. You can really taste the abundance of hops here, plus the usual hit of white wine/grape juice from the Nelson. A winner.

Triple dry hopped with Nelson. This was a spendy pack but I don't see Nelson showcases much so I sprang for it. Canned 10/27
Plenty of grape skin with some white wine character dominates the hop profile. There is also some melon and a little grapefruit. This is nicely dank and resinous overall. Quite good, glad I made the leap.

This is the “triple dry hopped” version of the Nelson DIPA; very well done, solid, all around pretty darn drinkable with just enough carbonation to give it some liveliness on the palate but still the full and smooth feel you look for in the NE style. The aromatics from a really fresh can are surprisingly modest, still the signature Nelson characteristics emerge as the beer opens up and comes to temp a bit. Not the most characterful nor does it bring those over the top white wine, floral and grape notes you might get with a particularly strong batch of Nelson from HF or All Nelson everything from Other Half. Still very happy with this purchase and will keep coming back for more by Abomination very soon!
