Not a whole lot of nose going on here. Taste is rich, chocolaty, creamy and tasty. Black as hell in color. Definitely does not drink like a 14% beer. The cookies/cream flavor profile hides it extremely well. Double pastry stout..yum.

This is actually the best dessert stout I've ever had. This is a 14% ABV beer and I taste no alcohol. It's all being cancelled out by huge amounts of chocolate. I'm really impressed with this beer... Almost no bitterness whatsoever. If this is consistent then it's basically a 10/10 stout for me. Gonna see if I can get my hands on the other variants.

L: Pours a thick chocolate brew that forms a thin brunette head, which fades fairly rapidly. Leaves behind a faint hint of effervescent retention and some light foam lacing on the edge of the snifter. Held to the light, this beer has an impenetrable black hue.

S: Vanilla, candied sugar, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, molasses, maple syrup, some light roast coffee.

T: This is some decadent stuff. Vanilla bean, baker's chocolate, molasses, sugar, and cake batter stand out in the front. The initial sugar assault melts into a more balanced flavor with some coffee, roasted malt, and a hint of char and boozy warmth towards the finish. The bitter finish really elevates this beer out of the cloying category. Hard to imagine this as 14% ABV. Wow.

F: Thick, coating, sticky, and lasting. Full-bodied, with a light-to-moderate level of carbonation.

O: Yes, this is advertised as a pastry stout. I'll buy it, but that seems to be a bit of a disservice here. The aromas are dessert stout but the flavor and body suggest a more nuanced beer with equal amounts of sweetness, roast, and bitter finish. Great stuff from Abomination, will be purchasing again.

Poured from a can into a snifter - motor oil pour with heavy dark foam risen.
Getting aromas of sweet chocolate mil with some chili pepper skins, also noticing a vanilla presence as well as some malts. This smells delicious!
Taste follows the smell with a heighten lactose presence to this. Getting Sweet milk chocolate up front followed by the vanilla in the middle ending with a nice abv presence. Definitely tastes like cheesecake. This is so good.
Feel is thick and oily with it being a nice easy sipper. The sweetness of the beer covers up the abv a bit but tastes like a 9-10% beer.
Overall I liked this one! Never tried the batches before but love how its a huge beer and goes down so easy. Would recommend!

Good head production and decent retention, especially considering the ABV and additives.

Slightly sharp stout smell, leaving little impression of all the extra flavorings they tossed in. Toffee, toast, light char, coffee, prune, red grape.

Very tasty on the palate, rich and sweet, but not cloying. Tasting notes of toast, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, espresso, molasses. Instead of tasting like an overly sweetened pastry stout, it almost comes across more like an amplified massive American Imperial Stout, everything dialed up due to the additives.

Thick and smooth body; no harshness, not quite chewy. Fairly long finish.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured an opaque dark with dark tan head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had vanilla and dark chocolate. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip. There was dark chocolate base with molasses and vanilla presence. At 14% abv gives a nice burn. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had smooth carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

16 ounce can, canned on 05/31/21, another brew thanks to Brutaltruth! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that didn't stay around for too long. There's a decent amount of lacing. The brew does smell a lot like Oreo cookies and cream, with dark bread, vanilla, cream, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also the addition of some burnt/charred malt too. Like the aroma, it does remind me of an Oreo cookie. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and syrupy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. If you're into pastry stouts and/or cookies and cream brews, then make sure to look out for this one!

Picked this up a while ago at ShopRite Liquors in Little Falls as I never had anything from Abomination before. Loved the label but there was much more to this than that, as this was certainly not your typical American Imperial Stout. With plenty of sweetness to offset this beer's substantial heft, this tasted more like dessert in a can than something with 14% ABV - even if I could feel the booze kick in right after the first few sips.

Of course, this poured dark as it was a few shades short of being black although the head was nearly nonexistent. The same could be said for the lacing as it was tan, thin, and wavy as it didn't coat much of the inside of my pint glass. Lots of vanilla and sandwich cookie in the nose with a bit of praline and bitter chocolate underneath that as the latter was more prevalent in the taste. Marshmallow and cream came through more and more as this warmed up with plenty of sticky sweetness present in this from start to finish. Yes, this was strong and yes, there was some dark sediment at the bottom of this but somehow, this felt like a Pastry Stout that was overly fermented and aged and in the end, that wasn't a bad thing as this was a beer that was unlike anything that I ever had before.

To be fair, this was a beast of a brew and not for the faint of heart or for those looking to down quite a few in a session. One of these would be enough for a day's worth of drinking although I wouldn't mind having this as a nightcap after quaffing a few beers of a more easygoing nature beforehand. Dated 5/31 on the bottom of the can, the sediment was the only indication that this was aged but in the end, I felt like I down a whole rum-soaked cake more than anything else when finishing this off. Enjoy this for what it is as this would be a perfect midnight snack if you wanted to black out in order to get back to sleep. For the rest of us imbibers, this would nearly be the beer to end all beer drinking sessions...

Served in a teku glass from the can.

Appearance: Deep dark black body, resembling coffee from the stove top espresso maker I have. Tan head which settled quick.

Smell: Deep chocolate and on top of that another dose of vanilla bean to the nose.

Taste: Complex chocolate with a spoonful of vanilla and that after thought of mill sugar. Molasses are offset by malts but the beer feels like a true dessert.

Mouth: sticky body with a soft carbonation which absorbs to your palates.

Overall: Great grab. Grab a lactaid pill because this one might hurt some people but grantee the milk sugar is subtle. Honestly I regret not grabbing two.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little brew pours a dark
coal black with a nice head of light brown foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin dusty layer, and shows off some very nice lacing.
Nose of vanilla cream, dark chocolate, light char, subtle coffee,
and dark roasted malts. Flavors lightly exceed the nose by a nice
presentation of subtle coffee, dark semisweet chocolate, vanilla, cream,
moderate char, and deep roasted malts with touches of astringent booze.
Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, rich creamy, light soft carbonation,
warming, and a bitter malt and cream accentuated finish.

Overall a solid brew from a newer to me brewery

Cheers
