A: Juicy dark orange color with a milk shake like density has a frumpy and rocky off white head sitting 1/2 inch steadily above. Sticky marshmallow patching shellacs the vessel walls while inside a faint whisper of carbonation. A small presence of yeasty floaties are about.
S: Sweet milk sugar and cotton candy sweetness first on the nose with an amplified sense. Juicy tropical mango fruitiness with vanilla and some sweet orange juice. Some pineapple, watermelon candy sweetness with a small tint finish of banana. Nice strength overall, some faint grassy hops upon warming.
T: Cotton candy sweetness for flavor, sweet milk lactose mixes with tropical pineapple, mangos and kiwi. Hints of lime and spicy herbal hops and stone fruit round out.
M: The mouthful was spicy with a flowery hop edginess with a sticky resin like feel and malt fullness of milky depth.
O: Overall there are a lot of imparting flavors that just blend so well together between the lactose, tropical fruitiness and spices with a seamless appeal. Sometimes words can fail to describe how just satisfying the flavor and other aspects of a beer may be, this is just the case. Tropical spiciness, herbal flowery hops, vanilla lactose with a milkshake like fullness all contribute to a great overall drinking experience.

Pale gold and hazy with a fingernail of dishwater white on top. Light lacing on the glass. The aroma is of lemon to lime hops and lactose. I'm tasting lemon to lime hops with a touch of egg nog flavoring. The mouth is light and smooth.

This drink absolutely hits me with that holiday spirit and it's ONLY August. The smell is clearly of an IPA but it's really reminding me of a nog with the creaminess and the spices. And it tastes like it too. Still an IPA nonetheless but I'd look for this given the chance.

Pours a hazed honey color with a thumb of cream colored head. Very nice head retention and lacing
S: Vanilla, melons. Orange creamsicle once warm
T: Follows the nose, plenty of lactose, and dryness up front, some pineapple as well. A a hint of green melon and pomelo, plus dryness as this beer warms up, more pineapple too, orange creamsicle shows up as well. Finishes with orange and pineapple with a hint of vanilla and some lactose dryness, also guava
MF: Medium body, creamy carbonation. Good balance, plenty of pineapple acidity as well once warm
Fun easy drinking beer that belies alcohol strength. Displays the flavor that I look for for this style of DIPA

Fog Nog - Double Dry Hopped – from Abomination Brewing. 16 fl oz can picked up at Franklin Beer Co, Franklin, PA, 27/02/24, $6.50 (Including tax), $ 0.406/fl oz. Reviewed 02/03/24 (Review 3246). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Printed on the bottom of the can “23303”. Stored at reefer at the distributor, 34 degrees at home. Served at 50.5 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 62.7 degrees F.
Appearance – 4
First pour – Straw (SRM 3), cloudy and opaque.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), opaque. Under direct light, same. When rear-lite, same; looks like Donald Duck Orange Juice.
Head - Large (Maximum 4.7 cm, aggressive center pour), off-white, high density, Quickly opening up and of short retention, leaving a 0.3 - 0.7 jagged frothy crown, and a thin complete cap.
Lacing – Poor. Irregular lumps and lines of bubbles make the glass look dirty.
Aroma – 4 – Citrus fruity with no distinct aromas. No yeast, no malt, no alcohol (9.1 % ABV as marked on the label).
Flavor – 3.75 – Begins slightly bitter with mixed citrus fruits; a bit chalky. No yeast, no roasted malt, no alcohol. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. A ghostly gastric warming wafts by.
Palate – 3.75 – Medium; approaching creamy; soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for unintelligible dated code) I'm offended! They have the gall to admonish me to "Store cold drink fresh" yet have the balls to give me a a secret code to decipher to determine the freshness! Otherwise, this is a decent imperial IPA, despite the addition of lactose. No spices were individually detected and must be considered part of the ambiance, easily hidden among the hop spiciness.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of nutmeg, almond, cream and some spices. It really tasted like egg nog. Pretty tasty.

Can stamped "23283" - which might mean 3/28/23 backwards, but whatever - into pint glass. Pours a murky medium gold with a brief but pillow-y head. Great lacing. Initial impression is fairly sweet citrus, with a definite but not objectionable lactose presence. Alcohol is quite well hidden. Mouthfeel is soft and very smooth. Finish is fairly sweet, fading to a slight prickliness. Overall, an interesting and very enjoyable DIPA.

Lives up to it's name and tastes like egg nog. Dry hopped right in my wheelhouse but I don't like egg nog enough to like this one, wanted to but couldn't quite get there.

16oz can poured into a nonic; dense orange/golden pour, opaque in the glass with a fluffy and thicc off-white head. The head and body are creamy, the palate is creamy, even the nose seems creamy; the lactose is apparent along with the seasonal spicing...nutmeg...maybe vanilla? The hops are more at the forefront as a flavor than an aroma, in general there seems to be a solid tropical vibe surrounding this one. A bit all over the place, not bad, but just not quite what I wanted.
