Picked up a 16 oz can from the Appalachian Vintner 8-4-22 for $8.65. No canning date; consumed 12-4-22.
Beer poured black with q nice tan head with the original pour.
Nose is very nice, coffee forward with hints of vanilla on top of a moderately roasted malt base.
Taste follows the nose with a medium roasted malt base that has a nice infusion of coffee. Almonds and vanilla are noticeable and nicely added on top of the coffee. Finishes with a light touch of sweetness and not cloying as the coffee balances things out nicely.
Mouthfeel is medium to large bodied and silky smooth.
Overall a nicely crafted dessert beer!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a thin dark chocolate head that dissipates slowly to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, molasses, almond, milk chocolate, vanilla and light coffee. Flavor is dark toasted malt, fresh almonds, vanilla, light milk chocolate, coffee and light fruit esters in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouthfeel. Hardly a surprise that a collaboration between Abomination and Evil Twin would be such a great stout. The almond flavor in this stout, while well balanced and supported, is the freshest and most authentic I've tasted in a stout. Almond seems to be a hard flavor to use and sometimes tastes nutty, but with little of the fruit notes in really fresh almonds and syrup. There was one burst of esters in this that made me think of cherry, but then it resolved to clear almond. Coffee is the lightest adjunct flavor here and the malt chocolate is light too. I like an almond coffee every once in a while and this is closest I've had to that flavor in a stout. Nicely done. Coffee stouts often keep me up at night, but I'm willing to pay that price for this one.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This beast pours a dark coal black with a
fantastic head of brown foam that settles to a thick ring, thick layer, and
displays some excellent lacing. Nose of rich coffee, vanilla, dark vinous wine
elements, moderate char and deep roast, with a healthy dose of nuts. Flavors
hit the mark with almonds, dark mellow espresso, moderate char, dark roasted
malts, dark raisin, dark bread, and vanilla with a dark red wine element amongst
touches of licorice and tobacco. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, rich, coating,
medium light carbonation, and a full medium bitter malt finish that is nicely warming
and inviting.
Overall----excellence!
Cheers

Beautiful beer. Head production is very solid, retention is excellent.
Aroma is initially a bit muted, but definitely expresses quite a bit over time. Coffee, vanilla, caramel, nuts, a touch of roasted barley, licorice, and slightly sharp grape-like notes.
Full bodied, thick but not chewy. Builds up a bit of fizz in the mouth. No harshness from the alcohol until it's long since slid down and left behind a mild effervescent heat.
Very smooth. Moderately sweet, but not precisely a dessert beer. Plenty of coffee, accented by vanilla and almond. Definitely drinks like a sweetened coffee stout. Very rich. The aftertaste-heat is a pleasant reminder that you're very much drinking a stout. Mild char; roasty aftertaste.

At more than $10 a pint can purchased as a four-pack, this deserved the right time to try. The contents of one of those valuable cans has been completely emptied into a clear glass liter mug. It's a good thing the vessel has this much volume, as there's a significant tan head atop. As it recedes, there's abundant glass lacing and there's no reason that shouldn't continue. The description of the brew is that redundant one of black coffee brown color that's opaque. Pity the stout that isn't so. It has a unique aroma with hints of almonds, vanilla, roasted malt and alcohol, probably in ascending order. Maybe some chocolate, too, but alcohol leads the smell category race. At 12.5% ABV, this is not a negative. It becomes less so once this is consumed. Wow! But this has to be among the smoothest and richest brews you'll ever have. There's so much body and flavor, the alcohol isn't really noticed until it starts to warm the esophagus. Yes, vanilla, coffee and almonds are all there in an incredibly balanced way, just as advertised. Overall, the almonds might do the most to make this such an outstanding brew. The earthy nuttiness they contribute is the perfect counterbalance to the high alcohol, vanilla and roasted malt. This is so well conceived and executed, it really is close to perfect. Ultimately, the glass lacing isn't great, but that's such a minor concern here. Of course, you won't always, but should you ever want to get buzzed by a 12.5% ABV brew, with an incredible texture and taste, try this. Then, try to think of one that's better. More than ten dollars per can in a four-pack, it's worth it.

Teaming up with Evil Twin brewers, Abomination Brewing takes the Imperial Biscotti Break and turns it into a midnight snack -one that'sf full of vanilla, coffee and almonds that's like a lullaby for the senses.
Imperial Midnight Snack Biscotti Break Stout pours a luscious and viscous tar appearance with a dense mocha cap and a decadent scent that's roasty sweet with pastry and coffeehouse character. Sweet and savory on the early palate, the malt richness slathers the tastebuds with dark chocolate, molasses, candied nuttiness, burnt cream and malted milk candies in a highly cake batter kind of way.
As the roasty, toasty and deep savory flavors take an espresso turn, the flavors are delightfully smoky, sweet, nutty and woodsy. With a nougat-like sweetness and consistency, the beer's balance remains malty through the middle palate and into a bittersweet finish of kahlua-like warmth and the nuttiness of marzipan. Nuanced flavors of subtle dark fruit give the charm of port and sherry in a long and complex finish.
Full bodied, chewy and richly coating on the palate, the beer's finish is warming, rich and patient as a long aftertaste of sweet roast continues the chocolate covered espresso bean character chased by Irish whisky and kahlua once more.
