Pouring black with a good two fingers of mocha foam, very nice coloring. As always, my nose is not the sharpest, but I think it's chocolate and mallow. Definitely some nuts in there. The ice cream is an interesting addition - I guess I could see that, too. Okay, but the taste is very stout. Yep. It's fairly smooth for its size and chocolatey. I can't really tell where the mallow begins and the ice cream ends. It's not subtle, but in my experience with ice cream, unless you're eating actual marshmallows, the two flavors tend to blend together. It is a bit sweet, as one would expect, and it's heavy and warming. Oily and slick. Definitely some more distant notes of coffee and fruit you get with this style. Vanilla. Not as overwhelming as pastry stouts often are, including the Angry Chair Rocky Road I had some weeks ago.

Pours blackish with a hint of brown color. Burnt sugar colored head. Smells like Rocky Road. I get the chocolate, almonds and marshmallow smell. Mouth feel is rich and slightly chewy. Taste is rich chocolate, rocky road flavor. My only critique is needs more marshmallow flavor. They should of dumbed an extra bag of marshmallows into the mix. Still great brew.

Midnight Snack - Rocky Road pours black, with a medium-sized, lacing tan head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, marshmallow, and almonds, and it is very light ice cream. The flavor is sweet, with rocky road ice cream notes, lots of chocolate, marshmallow, and almonds. Great thick feel. Overall, it tastes like a rocky road ice cream and is amazing.

Taste: It has chocolate flavors with peanuts and vanilla. There are some licorice background notes with very low dark fruits.
Feel: It has a full body with a bit of sweetness in the finish. It has strong alcohol warming that is pleasant, not hot.
Overall, a flavorable imperial stout with a tad of over sweetness.

I buy big Abomination stouts any time I see them. They don't disappoint.
This one pours with a crusty looking head that dissipates. The aroma is an inoffensive amalgamation of their stated desert ingredients. The taste is not what I expected. Instead it understates each of the desert parts and presents a serious brew without the high ABV sugary overload. Yes, it is still sugary, it just doesn't taste overly so.
Recommended. One of the most drinkable huge stouts in recent memory.

Tasty! Smells like black coffee, liquor and peanuts. Taste has notes of coffee, milk and dark chocolate, chocolate ice cream and peanut on the finish. Didn't really pick up the marshmallows but I could feel it on the mouth feel. Sort of like how marshmallows melt in your mouth. A little boozy but as expected with its high ABV.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a one finger dark khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, chocolate, nuts and vanilla. Flavor is dark toasted malt with a touch of char, bakers and dark chocolate, generic nuts, light raisin and vanilla. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. Another rich, full flavored pastry stout in this great series. Although the initial taste is mostly chocolate (and good chocolate at that) and vanilla, The finish really is reminiscent of rocky road, with chocolate, marshmallows (mostly the vanilla I think), light nuts and some raisin. The latter is not in many traditional rocky road ice creams, but is one of my favorite additions. A bit sweet, but restrained, which is great; I'm starting to move away from pastry stouts due to over-sweetness in many of them. So dense with flavor and luxurious, this is not an everyday stout, but fine for a treat.

Amazingly decadent imperial stout: just the perfect amount of sweetness for a pastry stout. Thick and creamy. Absolutely amazing aroma.
Flavors of chocolate, cola, prune, vanilla, and cookie.
