From the 2022 batch 650 ml. bottle. Sampled December 10, 2022.
The appearance is about as hazy. milky, and murky a pale yellow that this style can generate. Modest fading white head.
Unlike other Imperial NEIPAs, I get the cereal grain aroma first and then all those orange, nectarine, grapefruit, and floral hop characteristics. I also get a whiff of that 13 percent alcohol.
Medium to full, creamy mouthfeel.
The taste comes on strong with the tropical fruit, floral, and citrus hops exploding on the palate followed by a sort of tobacco character and also the booze. The bitterness at the end is huge.
This is a Quadruple Double Dry Hopped Quadruple IPA. It packs a wallop but to me it was not worth the $16 I paid when I can find other Impy IPAs for half the price and most of the same characters.
