Can from Merchants Package Oct 2023
Lots of overripe fruit and boozy burn. The best part of this beer is the appearance, tastes ok at best.

Date code on bottom of can 23 159 10:02. Poured a milky yellow color into a Samuel Smith Imperial pint glass. Beautiful billowy 2 finger eggshell white head that left a descent amount of lacing and receded slowly. Earthy citrus aroma with hints of melon and mango. Bright citrusy flavor followed by a bitter sweet finish. Medium bodied and very drinkable. Nice collaborative effort between Abomination & Alternate Ending.

A: pours a hazy, yellow body with a. Thick white head with excellent retention and lacing.
S: dank, earthy hop notes; strong, citrus rind and subtle alcohol notes.
T: dank, earthy notes with heavy alcohol presence.
M: pretty thin for a DIPA; almost watery, less the alcohol.
O: ok drinking beer; high hop taste, but string alcohol notes implying not very balanced beer from the malt side. Definitely a hop bomb, but it is missing body.

Usually a fan of these when I see them locally, this one is pretty good too - pours completely opaque gold with a giant white-to-off-white head. Strong fruity hop vibes with nots of citrus flesh bitterness and tropical papaya, a bit of herbal spice and sharpness balancing the sweetness and the creamy, bready malt profile. Not my favorite but decent.

Mediocre head production; decent retention of what foam is produced. Opaque and turbid, but fairly attractive for the style.
Juicy hop-forward aroma, presenting little sweetness and a modest amount of green herbal sharpness. Difficult to pick out many individual fruit notes, as it's more of a melange, but I get orange and mango.
Taste is very orange forward, presenting far more citrus than tropical fruit. Additional notes include papaya and restrained kitchen herbs (oregano, basil).
Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, with a little bite and just a touch of back end heat that reminds you that this is a potent brew.
A very good all around NE style IIPA. Not Abomination's best, by far, but still a very worthy beer.
