Pours very dark, with nitro like bubble carbonation. Sweet thin mint taste initially, then chocolate. Hides the 14% very well.

When a snack is needed to sooth the mind as much as the stomach, Abomination has just a stout for you.
Their Chocolate, Peppermint, Coffee and Whiped Cream Midnight Snack pours a plush black that looks like tar, as a patient mocha-whipped froth pulls from the stout, a desert-laden scent of chocolate, coffee, cream and mint flow like thin mints and andes candies. And in true candied fashion, the session starts with a rife pastry sweetness and creaminess akin to brownie batter.
Coating the middle palate like chocolate cake, even the most supple sip creates a blast of desert. Chocolate, coffee and peppermint align for a sweet, savory and spicy taste fitting for the holidays. Roll in the enormity of fourteen percent alcohol and the spices even elevate to a simmering warmth of candy cake heat.
Full, decadent and lavishly sweet, the cloying ale must be treated like desert and not like a can of beer. What may look like a single serving should actually be split among an army of elves in Santa’s ranks.

Dark black with dark tan head. Nose is somewhat dark coffee with a hint of alcohol. Taste is softer, somewhat chocolate cake flavor with a coffee backend.

16 ounce can, julian date 23314 (Nov 10, 2023) stamped on the bottom of the can. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half frothy tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like peppermint, dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some cream and burnt/charred malt flavors. Overall flavor kinda reminds me of a mix between Thin Mint cookies and Junior Mints candies. Peppermint and chocolate seem stronger in the aroma as compared to the flavor though. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one overall but wish it was mintier tasting. Hope to get to try a fresher batch of this in the future!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This nice little imperial pours a
pitch black with a decent head of brown foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some faint lacing with
some nice legs. Nose of peppermint, vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate,
and dark roasted malts. Flavors are solidly in the camp of a famed
peppermint patty. Rich peppermint is awash in dark chocolate, dunked
in dark coffee, dashed with cream and brulee, and given a dash of
vanilla and char. Mouth feel is full, smooth, coating, rich, warming,
slick, and finishing with a bitter malt and lightly spicy peppermint
note.
Overall, a good one to finish with and even more so a great one to
split with a fellow advocate. It is sweet and verging on cloying, but
that said it is a solid pastry.
Cheers

Thick, rich, semi-sweet, and as-advertised: this is a chocolate peppermint coffee imperial stout.
Peppermint can easily overwhelm a beer; not the case here, which is likely due to the way they used peppermint coffee, instead of peppermint by itself. The coffee notes are relatively weak. Tasting notes include chocolate, molasses, caramel, coffee, peppermint, vanilla.
Absolute home run. Less decadent than other Midnight Snack iterations, but easily among the best.
