LooK; It pours bright yellow with orange tinges. It has a white head with good head retention.
Smell: It has spicy aromas with citrus and orange notes. There are also some lemon and lime note in support.
Taste: There are strong orange flavors with front with some lemon and lime. There are also spicy notes. The lime gives it a tequilla like quality to it.
Feel: It has a medium full body with a fairly nuetral aftertaste.
Overall: I like this beer because if reminds me of a margarita with extra lime, lemon and orange. The flavor combinations work for me.

Picked up a single can at Total Wine in Braintree, Massachusetts for about four dollars. Me second brew from these guys. Never heard of calamansi, does not go with beer IMO.

Abomination Brewing Co. "Wandering into the Waves"
16 fl. oz. can seemingly without production codes or freshness dating although it looks like there's an ink jet on the bottom of the can that reads "P 4 D".

Notes via stream of consciousness: This is a double IPA at 8.6% ABV with Calamansi. I've never tasted Calamansi fruit so this should be an eye opener. It's poured a murky golden body beneath a finger's width of white foam. The aroma isn't that bright but I'm finding a kind of lime/lemon and orange fruitiness. Wow, the flavor really bears that out as this is heavily lime with some lemon, including the bitterness that comes with it. Now some of that bitterness could of course be from hops but I get the same kind of bitterness that I get from lime. It's very interesting. The orange is secondary to the lime/lemon just as it is in the aroma, and there's some passionfruit beyond that. It's also a bit resinous. It's firmly bitter and finishes dry and bitter with a light slap of alcohol, some acidic "hop burn", a mild floral character, and just a touch of light citrus lingering (unless of course you burp and then it all comes right back to you!). The malt seems to be the basic 2-row or Pilsner, oats, and wheat combination that's so popular in hazy IPAs, and it's not overly sweet as some can be. Of course at 8.6% ABV it's got to be fairly dried out considering that it's only medium bodied. I love the bite that this has, and the more I drink the more I find that it's a touch spicy in the finish. I guess that's the "hop burn" and alcohol building up on my palate. I really like this and I'm inspired to go out and see if I can find some Calamansi. On the down side, although the head held up fairly well right after the pour it did drop and then there was next to no lacing left behind. I understand that that's at least in part due to the alcohol but I think it could be better.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left thin trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, pineapple, orange and toffee aromas, Sweet fruit taste with tropical notes and toasted caramel. Sharp bitterness.
