Drank this one last night and trying to review from memory. Black liquid pour with a nice tall dark brown sugar head. One of the sweetest imperial stouts that I have consumed. Surprisingly, didn't seem/feel like 12% ABV. Overall pretty good but a little to sweet for my liking.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a snifter. Color is an inky, deep brown. Only a tiny bit of foam after the initial pour, but it is a rich brown color. Rich, sweet pastry aromas of chocolate and cake or cookies, along with some sherry-like alcohol. The flavors are much softer than a typical Imperial Stout, but the usual ones are there: chocolate coffee, roasted grains. In this case, however, they are somewhat muted because of strong, sweet, pastry-like flavors that form a big part of the profile. Medium to thick body with some mouthcoating sweetness and a semi-sweet finish. Light, creamy carbonation. No real bitterness to speak of. Surprisingly subtle alcohol presence for the ABV.
I like this beer very much. It makes a good Imperial Pastry Stout because its pastry aspects smooth out the traditional Imperial Stout aggressiveness without being overly sweet or boozy.

A dark inky pour with generous dark brown head. Aroma is some alcohol, coffee, and vanilla. Taste is chocolate and coffee with some sweetness (but not overly so). Mouthfeel is fairly creamy. Overall, a really great stout.

Sugar cookies and a glass of milk sure gets old so why not give Santa what he really needs. A twelve-percent imperial pastry stout should do just the trick and get the whole household on the nice list next year.
jet black and pouring like a creamy espresso, the well equipped froth sheds a robust perfume of dark roast coffee, hints of smoke and chocolate and a creamy sweetness built around vanilla and brown sugar. Molasses sweetness greets the tongue with a firm malt display while followup flavors of baker's chocolate, French press coffee and smoldering embers show both sweet and savory character. Rounded with the smoothness of vanilla and milk sugars and the finish soothes the brunt of alcohol for a spicy creme de la cookie finish.
Full bodied, chewy but never cloying, the dark ale is off-brownie batter but build around traditional imperial stout. it's a session that'll be sure to put Santa to bed, sound and asleep. ...unitl the kids wake us up in an hour and a half.

Pours jet black with a tiny tan head. Nose is very sweet like chocolate as is the taste. Easily one of the sweetest beers you can try. Malty, chocolate, slight caramel and definitely cookies.
