Pours a handsome clear copper color with plenty of foam in the Pilsner glass. Aroma of grain, cedar, and piney hops. This is really well balanced between the mellow malt and the tangy hop flavors. It's moderately malty-sweet to start and just slightly bitter in the finish. Tangy flavors of roasted grain, a hint of caramel, and some darker woody notes. Overall this is a superior kind of Märzen with more complexity and interest. A delightful quaff from a new-to-me brewery in Astoria. From the 32 oz crowler can purchased at the brewery bar.
