Poured on tap at the Southampton Publick House
A: black body with a beautiful finger and a half of dark khaki head.
S: The aroma boasts notes of toffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and a hint of butterscotch. The aroma is fantastic.
T: Tons of toffee and chocolate character upfront. Towards the back end there is a hint of coffee and a slight bitterness.
M: Light carbonation, full bodied and a super creamy mouthfeel.
O: The best tasting oatmeal stout that I have had to date. I assume that Evan was the frontman on this batch, being that Phil is gone, and I hope that all of his beers turn out like this.
Cheers to a fresh start and bright future at the Publick House!

On tap at the Southampton Publick House, served in a pint glass.
Look: black body with red highlights (easy to see since we sat outside), thin, creamy beige head with good retention and some lacing. Looks good.
Smell: caramel, roasted grain, chocolate and coffee. Pretty much all the aromas you would want from an oatmeal stout.
Taste: follows the nose nicely with roasted/burnt grain, chocolate, a little coffee, a bit of caramel and a little smokiness. Very delicious and flavorful.
Feel: medium bodied, creamy, and pretty much what you want for an oatmeal stout. It is easy drinking and makes for a good, sessionable brew considering the strength and delicious flavor.
Overall: very solid oatmeal stout and a great offering from Southampton Publick House. It ranks amongst the better oatmeal stouts I've had and I would recommend giving this one a go. Cheers.

Poured a deep black hue with a one finger tan head. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell featured a light caramel sweetness with a more pronounced roasted malt.
The taste consisted of a roasted grainy malt, smoke and a suprising smooth sweetness.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style.
Overall a robust and tasty stout.

On-Tap at the brewpub. Dark, nearly opaque black with a nice head of khaki-coloured foam. Aromas are of roasted malts, oatmeal, chocolate, coffee, and more. Taste is roasty up front with some nice chocolate notes in the middle and a nice sweet-coffee finish that leads into a burnt malt and oatmeal-like after-taste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied>thick and perfect for the style. Drinkability is nice as well. Another winner from Phil and Co.
