Copenhagen 29/12 2018. 37,5 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus (formerly Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel). First World War Infantryman with Gas-mask and rifle with a Bayonet on the label.
Pours hazy pale yellow with medium-sized, bubbly white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense fruity and citric. Tart berries, sour citrus and bitter Grape fruit. Acerbic and acidic.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively texture.
Flavor has light sweetness followed by a strong, tart, bitterness. Aftertaste is citric sour. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Nice, dry and fruity wit which does not have much to do with WW1.
