Copenhagen 22/9 2015. 50 cl bottle from Gunnar Madsens Vinhandel, Østebrogade, Kbh. Ø. Picture of Stag skull on the label to set the scene.
Pours dark brown with a light beige head. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam with some lacing.
Aroma is sweet and of roasted malts, coffee and perfumed fruit. Like a mixture of brown ale and IPA.
Soft carbonation and thick oily palate.
Flavo is of coffee and oranges and quite porterlike. Lingering bitter aftertaste.
A bit on the heavy side if you hope to hit a moving animal. But fine for drinking while not executing hapless animals.
