Copenhagen 26/10 2015. 50 cl bottle from Gunnar Madsens Vinhandel, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Label look like the album cover from a metal band obsessed with Roman paraphernalia.
Pours very dark brown - almost black - with a small tan head. Disappears fairly fast. No lacing.
Aroma of wood, fermented dark fruits, sharp chemical smell of nail polish remover and coffee bitterness.
Soft carbonation and oily palate.
Flavor is strong and quite bitter and almost salty. Like salty licorice. Some strange tang of seaweed and metallic alcohol. Lingering salty bitter aftertaste.
Too much heavy metal from eighties for my taste.
