Manifattura Birre Bologna (Sfumature di Birra S.r.l.) "Weissbier"
33 cl brown glass bottle coded "DA CONSUMARSI PREFERIBILIMENTE ENTRO IL: 250523 04-2026" and sampled on 23 November 2025.
€5 @ Beer 4 Bunnies, Bologna. IT
Look: Typical Bavarian weissbier appearance with a cloudy golden-orange body and fluffy white head. The head retention and lacing could both be better.
Smell: Typical Bavarian weissbier aroma with banana, clove, and apple.
Taste: The taste follows the aroma with some additional acidity as is normal. It's not bitter, and yet it still finished mainly dry with some clove-like spiciness lingering.
Feel: Medium-light in body with a moderate carbonation that explains the lack of head retention. Most hefeweizen/weissbiers are carbonated to 2.7 - 3.0 volumes of CO2 per liter while this is just around 2.5.
Overall: It's quite a nice quaff but not the best weissbier you'll find.
