Black, but fresh. Lots of malt and a nice bitterness from German hops.

Copenhagen 6/12 2025. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Nordens Plads, Frb. F. Label in Frederiksberg Bryghus' usual style with a drawing of the Frederiksberg castle under a dark half moon.
Pours clear dark brown with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a sourish scent of grains, Sweet caramel and toffee. Hint of brown sugar. Sour grains and som sour unripe berries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick. oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a quite strong tart sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is a bit tart. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Decent Schwarzbier with a tart streak.
