Frederiksberg 15/4 2026. 40 cl from tap at Tap 21, H.C. Ørstedsvej, Frb. C.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as a thin but unbroken layer of foam stretched thin over the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of dark and roasted malts mingling with a scent of salty licorice. Caramel and toffee. Notes of leather and tobacco. Hint of smoke.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sourish streak. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Nice Licorice Porter - but quite subdued in the smoky department.
