All the hyped up smell and flavor these days of sweet, tropical papaya, guava, and peaches; but, it all comes together like a bowl of riot punch. It really reveals itself with its thin and boozy body. Despite the really attractive lacing though I don't advise.

Canned 10-18-18 .. into 16oz IPA
L: Honey colored..nice head retention, and lacing.
S: I'd love to say tropical.. but there's something interrupting my grasp at anything. It's not offensive, but not pleasant.
T: Tropical, and a bit of citrus. Quite a bit of alcohol(ish) bite.
F: Medium. Low carbonation.
O: Not a fan. The feel, the taste and aroma was not worthy of an 8.5%.

Collaboration with Torch & Crown Brewing; 10/18/18 canning...
Deep golden color edging toward amber under two fingers of off-white foam that left lace sheeting down the pint glass... I'm getting pine resin over tropical fruits, with a vague herbal, dank, earthy character... Bit of that 8.5% abv alcohol seems to slip through... Lightly tacky shellac to an otherwise smooth-feeling beer... 86 IBUs comes across as moderately bitter, sugars are subdued... Something about the beer tastes a little "off" to me - but it could just be my personal tastes these days... I'll assume its something on my end and err on the side of the brewer with my scoring, but I wasn't impressed...

A: The beer is relatively clear amber yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high frothy off white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface, a collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of papayas are present in the nose along with faint hints of pine.
T: The taste follows the smell and has tropical flavors of papayas along with notes of guava and hints of peaches. No bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer drinks rather easily for an Imperial IPA and does a very good job at hiding its alcohol.
