A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a wide collar of off white to light tan bubbles around the edge of the glass and lots of wispy lacing covering the remainder of the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of licorice and dark roasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of licorice and dark malts with hints of coffee. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seems to be rather thin in body compared to other beers in the style.

Extremely well executed coffee stout. This is one you give to friends to introduce them to coffee stouts.

On tap at George Keeley, NYC.
Pours a pitch black color with a creamy mocha head that displays great retention.
Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. Notes of nutty malts, honey, caramel and toffee.
The taste has a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. Rich malt flavors of milk chocolate, caramel, toffee, roasted malts and coffee. The roasted malts and hops add a muted bitterness in the finish. There is a moderate alcohol spice and flavor without it being too boozy.
Full bodied, wonderfully creamy and smooth. A gentle carbonation and velvety soft mouthfeel evokes a Guinness like feel with greater alcohol presence and complexity.
This was my last drink of the night and it made a fantastic nightcap. Full flavored yet delicately and sublimely crafted.
