A pour to empty the contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug went delightfully easy. There was no contentious stark white foam to deal with. Instead, there's a display of decent carbonation that leaves very little head. So much more preferred than foam. The aroma is inviting, with malty starches and hops that seem fruity and earthy. There's still plenty of carbonation, so its headlessness is not a problem. The color is a thin, yet opaque dirty blond, not truly bright, but not dull, neither. It's a very pleasant drink. There's plenty of effervescence and the mouthfeel is light. Its taste isn't special, as there's an almost contentious relationship between the hops and base starches, rather than a complimentary one. There's also some sourness that just shouldn't be included within a NEIPA. This rates better as an overall brew, than if it were judged as a member of that category. With no head, no glass lacing and no NEIPA body, this is a far removed member of the NEIPA community of beers.
