One freshly opened pint can was emptied into a clear glass liter mug. The beer is light apricot-amber, hazy, yet bright. There's a little pine and tropical fruit references to its aroma. Almost no off-white head was resultant from the pour. The taste brings more citrus than tropical fruit aspects, as well as some of the pine. Unfortunately, the malt is disproportionately shortchanged and there's almost no counterbalance, nor extra taste layer. Its mouthfeel is no more than average for the modern American IPA, less than many others that include oats in the wort. Without appreciable malting, this is drinkable, but not pleasurable. Its dry citrus-like finish salvages something. Until then, there's only hops and something that tastes unpleasantly woody. No glass lacing, nor sustained head didn't help the look.
