What do hopheads love about hops? Great big punchy aromas. At Pelican Brewing we’ve been packing hop aroma into beer for over 20 years. Beak Breaker is our newest homage to aromatic innovation. With massive additions of Mosaic, Citra, and Centennial hops this beer delivers a bright citrus-tropical aroma with notes of ruby red grapefruit and sweet pine, blasting your olfactory sense…enough to break your beak!

Great, readily available DIPA. 19.2 oz can at a small town Oregon, Grocery Outlet at $3.99. Canned 56 days ago.

Taste is hoppy grapefruit, intense - yet pleasantly not overwhelming.

If this is really only the best 1,823rd DIPA (according to BA rankings), then we live in a Mythically Wonderful Country!

Rated 5/1/2020. This is the real deal. Good, strong IIPA, with good flavor balance between malt and hops. Pours a clear golden color with a small head which is typical for an IIPA. The bad thing is that it is easy drinking and could be dangerous.

19.2oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, caramel and pine notes. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Had on tap. Semi-cloudy yellow body, finger of white foam, spotted lacing. Orange and lime with piney hop aromas. Taste I get the bitters front and center, has a vegetable tone underneath the pine, general citrus waltz with the hops. Feel is light for a dipa, but very clean, crisp and has good hop cutting. Solid all around

12 ounce can poured to wine glass
Sight: golden amber, clear with some haziness, medium off white foam that disappears slowly, minimal lacing
Smell: Fragrant, but too much, smell of hops and malts/grains
Taste: high bitterness
Mouthfeel: good carbonation, tart, good follow through, dry finish, bitter aftertaste
Overall: very good beer ok to repeat, not look for BA RB
