Growler pour into a pint glass.
Pours a very dark brown, which turns to a brilliant dark & clear ruby when held up to the light...no lacing and minimal head. Traditional dark lager nose; bready and malt, light roasty character, hints of a woody smoke. Where the nose seems to be consistent, the palate falls apart a bit while staying in character...bread crust and light roast are present, but there are some odd flavors...unami? Smoke? Kind of minerally...light bodied.
Funky and odd on the palate, even medicinal. Will not revisit.
