Hidden within the swirling fog is a beer as big and bold as Haystack Rock itself. Hazy Rock India Pale Ale bursts forth with intensely juicy hop aromas and a round, smooth body. The obscure, yet bold appearance belies the bright, fruity hop flavors with notes of mango, clementine, guava and pineapple. A soft finish enhances drinkability while the clean, toasty malt adds balance. It’s no milkshake, but the boys will still come to the yard for this one!

Ingredients:
Two-row malt malted white wheat, Torrified wheat, Mosaic hops, El Dorado hops, Meridian hops, pure local water, pure ale yeast.

Rated 6-24-2020 Not sure where I had this as I believe it was a can. Pours an off golden color with a slight haze. It has a good citrus hop aroma and taste. It definitely has a juicy medium mouthfeel and balanced malt body. Another good beer from Pelican, but not great.

Not bad but not good either. It isn’t as juicy as you’d expect but the nose is there for an orange juice ish smell. The taste is bready and bitter with the citrus following up. Not sweet at all, semi dry. This one is my baseline for an okay IPA.

Can from Boise Co-op. Medium golden, light haze, head fades to nothing. Aroma features light tropical notes. Taste is light fruit notes, a bit of hop bitterness. The whole thing is pretty subdued.

12 oz. can from a 6 pack purchased from Fred Meyer in N.Salem OR
$7-99
Ahh this one is only slightly hazy golden colour, not murky at all..nice thick and creamy off white head.
Nice enough fruity aromas, melon, mango, papaya and sweet lemon.
Taste is juicy but is actually well balanced by a strong malt backing.
Nice mouth feel softish crbonation..smooth with a semi dry finish.
An OK IPA,

On tap at their Pacific Coast location. Sitting on the beach, watching the waves and surfers... WOW! I think almost any beer would taste good in this location! But this is spectacular. Full on IPA with great pineapple notes.

Hazy gold with three fingers of bone color head. Rings of lace as head falls.
Smell is fruity hops with bread crust malt.
Taste is fruity tropical hops with bready malts.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with good carbonation. Finish is dry and mildly bitter.
Overall a tasty and easy drinking IPA.

12oz can picked up off the guy stocking their singles section at Total Wine in Northgate, Seattle, Washington. No BB or canned/packaged date. Poured into a pint glass.

L- Despite it's name, not hazy at all, slightly toasted straw color. Great head retention and carbonation.

S- Melon, citrus, grassy, little malty and floral.

T- Very easy drinking with the same flavors.

F- A little watered down.

Overall- Pelican failed at making a true to style NE IPA here, but is incredibly easy drinking for a Spring beverage to go with some BBQ and hanging out w/ the crew.
