Fly’N Dry brings heaps of exotic Hüll Melon hops and punchy Citra hops to amplify the flavor party. Hints of candied orange, white grape, melon, rose and citrus combine in a range of bright hop-driven aromatics.

Pours a wonderful golden straw color with a solid and stable white head.
Smell is soft and floral. Not especially aromatic.
Flavor has a sharp and tangy fruitiness up front, melon and mango shift into pineapple and orange and finally a lemon to lemon rind flavor. Bitterness is there in parts but it's more tangy and herbal. Very pleasant display of modern hop varieties.
Mouthfeel is wonderful for the style, the finish is super clean but it doesn't feel thin/watery like many in the style do. It's got a lot in common with the feel of the best IPLs. Really well done.
Overall this may well be my new favorite of a style that I really want to take off because when it's done like this, it's about my favorite daily drinker. Lots of great clean hop flavors, not overly bitter/acrid, not thin tasting or one dimensional, and a super clean crisp finish. Also doesn't feel filling, I could drink a case. Great beer, if you're a fan of the style or you're brut-curious this is definitely one to check out.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very cloudy orange-yellow color with 1-3/4 inch of rocky white head that had very good retention but almost zero lacing.

The aroma had bold malts, earthy and grassy hops, and a slight funk. The flavors didn't quite match up; all the above aspects were there, just way subdued in comparison.

The body was light medium, smooth, and had a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was fine, I've knocked back a couple out of the sixer I bought, but probably won't be grabbing another. Overall, a solid brew, probably worth a shot if you see it.

Handsome clear bright yellow-gold brew with a decent head of white foam in the Timermans goblet. Lively and modestly fruity. Flavor of green melon with a squeeze of lime. Also woody and something like blackberry seeds. The aftertaste is bitter, on the astringent side.

Light body with the usual spritz on the tongue. Overall this is quite drinkable in the same mold as virtually every Brut brew I've tasted. It certainly finishes dry. I would like it better with a little more fruit and less of the tongue scraping at the end, but that seems to be the style. From the 12 oz can purchased up north.

a clean and tidy brut ipa that drinks somewhat delicately, a nice example of the style, more refined and professionally done than most, no surprise from these guys, who make excellent beers across the board. this has a little haze to it but still looks very light in the glass, like an unfiltered pils type in color, and a fizzy white head rises up and settles out pretty quick. i get no fermentation or enzymatic weirdness in the nose, which so many of these have, and its not overly dry hopped to the point that its green and over saturated, kind of understated compared to the style norm then, and i like that. cool fruitiness to the hops, green melon and kiwi and meyer lemon to me, not a whole lot of flavor from the malt here, and a very clean fermentation, dry as can be, fast finishing without too much hop linger either, so the whole thing drinks fast and refreshing. the hops are bright and fresh and without bitterness, a pineapple note comes on as it warms, making me think some mosaic is in the mix, but im not sure about the other varietals. very light and well integrated beer, awesome carbonation, they got the feel of this right for sure. this is a style i am still not sure i am wild about, but a well executed example of it like this is a joy to drink, especially on a hot summery afternoon. another excellent hoppy beer from pelican, who never seems to miss!
