With a color reminiscent of a sunset at Cape Kiwanda, Three Capes delivers a punchy hop character of grapefruit, passionfruit, strawberry and sweet pine. This quaffable IPA’s clean hoppy finish ensures that the next sip is a foregone conclusion.

Bottle from Hops & Bottles. Thought I'd had all of Pelican's offerings, but found this. Harkening back to a simpler time when IPAs were bitter, but not hop bombs. Malty, light bittetness, and very, very dry.

Six pack of bottles picked up at Ballinger Thriftway in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.
Dating is very faint but it looks like 5/30/19. Served in a pint glass.
Look- Clear, bright amber color. A little white head that recedes fairly quickly, a decent amount of lacing.
Light carbonation stream visible in the glass as it sits.
Smell- Let me preface this with all these aromas were faint, almost unnoticeable, until it warmed a bit.
Citrus, passion fruit, melon and berries, minimal pine.
Taste- Light citrus, melon and berries. A bit sweet, then a pith-like bitterness.
Feel- Light bodied and a bit watery. Crisp and dry. Nice carbonation play on the tongue.
O- Almost just an IPA light, session style 'beach beer'. The 6.1% ABV is the only difference. Not my favorite Pelican beer.

Bottle from Trader Joe's.
A clear burnished copper with a dense off-white head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is fresh but not as vibrant as I'd hoped , with pine, candied grapefruit, candied orange and a little honey to go with the caramel notes present. The palate opens mildly bitter and mildly sweet, with a blend of caramel, honey, toffee, pine and grapefruit. Mild fruit flavors, with more citrus, is present before a watery finish, mildly bitter, takes over. Medium light in body, this beer is disappointing. Too much caramel for 2019.

Served in shaker. Poured a clean, clear honey gold color with just a thin cap of white head that hadOK retention and low lacing.
The aroma had some slightly sweet malt notes, and citrus and pine hops.
same on the tongue, but the citrus hops were brighter.
The body was on the light side of medium, smooth, crisp and had a dry finish.
Drinkability was pretty good, I could see knocking back a couple. Overall, a nice little brew. Worth a shot if you see it.

Clear gold with two fingers of off white head. Swathes of lace as level drops.
Smell is floral hops.
Taste is floral hops with good amount of bready malts.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with good carbonation. Finish is lightly dry with a mildly bitter end.
Overall a moderate IPA that is easy drinking.
