Remember the can and the name but not too much about the beer. Had in 2022. From score I gave it, it must have been pretty good.

I don’t like cloudy beer and I am not terribly fond of New Zealand hops. Consequently, I am likely not the best judge of this beer.

Look: Semi-clear light yellow with a frothy head that builds up and holds as a pillow, slowly receding and leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Strawberries, mango, melon, kiwi, light and sweet wafts of orange, gooseberries, and sweet malt notes
Taste: Kiwi and mango kick it off as some melon and citrus notes bleed into the fold shortly after. Sweet bready malt makes its presence known weaving in and out before closing as it started, with berries, kiwi, and mango
Mouthfeel: Full but light, medium-high carbonation, and a touch of light dryness on the finish
Overall: I dig it. I liked this more than I thought I would as its taste profile is quite unique and I found it enjoyable. I’m not sure what hops are in this but I can’t say I’ve had a beer that had kiwi, mango, and berries in the forefront. Solid and well-made overall pale ale as well

cool new pale ale from these guys, i wish it was a little fresh when i tasted it, but it has my hopes up for when i can find it again and assure freshness. its got a great hop profile, super juicy but in a distinctly southern hemisphere way, that green grape lushness, almost an aloe thing, lime leaf, cut herbs, its bright and nice, even with some fade and a little extra maltiness as a result in the flavor profile. the grain part seems ever so slightly nutty, dry though, and with some balancing earthy cereal character, and the ferment is super tidy which is common in so many pelican beers, almost nothing at all from the yeast. some minerals come out, a light floral aspect, and the green in a good way hops on the finish, would love to know what varietals are in the mix here. this is everything i want in a pale ale including a little bitterness late, and i can tell that even though this is past its peak. it seems perfect for warm weather and summer activities, i like and appreciate the low alcohol it has, and will definitely be eager to drink this at its best. neat to see some new pelican stuff showing up here in idaho, i like pretty much everything they do, mad respect! cool showcase of new zealand hops on this as well. will update this when i drink it again...

Pours pale gold with two fingers of light tan/white head. Smells of peach, orange, some spruce. Taste about like it smells, citrus, peach maybe kiwis. Not a usual pale, blind taste and I would almost guess it to be a hazy ipa. Very tasty

6 pack of 12 oz cans purchased from Safeway in West Salem OR
$8.99
Nice looking beer in the glass. Golden body and a large frothy/rocky eggshell white coloured head.
Not impressed with the aroma. A little sour citrus hop but not much and for some reason it smells like dirty rainwater!
Taste is better than the aroma but still simple citrus hopping and very pale malts.
Mouth feel is OK for the style. On the light side as i am suspecting was the plan. But there is some weird acridness lingering.
NOt great.
