Lightly hazed orange with three fingers of white head. Some rings of lace appear as the head falls.
Smells of orange zest.
Taste is orange zest light pine and sweet bready malt.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with proper carbonation. The finish is lightly dry and moderately bitter.
Overall a tasty light IPA. Packaged on 07/22/21.

12oz can from Brewers Haven. Orange/golden colored pour, light haze, small foamy white head. Citrusy aroma, orange peel. Taste features mild citrus oil, not picking up any vanilla. Sticky, oily.

Look: Clear deep orange and the clunky pour starts an off-white head billowing up and slowly settling to a lid, leaving decent lacing behind
Aroma: Oranges, tangerines, mandarins, a little grapefruit, strawberries, bready malt, and a vanilla-like sweet note
Taste: Taste follows the nose quite well and initially, it’s a huge orange-led citrus bomb and as these flavors wane, berries – strawberry and raspberry - come into play along with sweetness. Malt aspect is present though in the backdrop, and closes with another hit of citrus
Mouthfeel: Full but fairly light feeling, medium-high carbonation, and no discernable dryness on the finish
Overall: I dig it. This reminds me a lot of Hop Valley’s Citrus Mistress when it first came out in that for a hoppy beer that uses both fruit and hops to portray a flavor profile, it succeeds, though with oranges in this case. However, that fruit/hop blend isn’t up my alley much and this is good but not unique enough for me to remember/keep in mind when shopping for a hop fix, but solid enough to enjoy nonetheless

12 oz can from a 6-pack purchased from PLaid Pantry, West Salem
$9.49 (6).
Pours a clear orange coloured body with a lovely looking thick, creamy off white head.
Aroma is mainlly floral hops with a nice orange undertone.
Flavor..the orange/and floral hops combine well with the light vanilla providing a cream like base, Nice stuff.
Mouth feel is very nice..medium body with good cleansing carbonation. Semi dry finish,
A really good flavored IPA..excellent in this warm weather.

a collaboration with comrade. this is a real cool beer for one main reason, its an actual ipa. these flavors always find themselves into boring blondes and cream ales as base beers, or on the flip side, some bogus hazy lactose wannabe ipa that isnt ipa at all, but this is a sturdy and classic type base beer, no frills. i dont even believe there is vanilla in it, no lactose, just orange zest, its smart to get these creamsicle flavors from hops, and i would prefer this to its conceptual alternatives any day. surprisingly orange in the glass, like a little more malt to this than i might have expected, it doesnt taste malty though. its pretty clear, has a short white head on it, and smells like hops first, although there is a ton of citrus on this too, all real natural and compatible and cohesive and such. not sure i get a ton of the vanilla quality of either of these hops, but a little honey and toasted something from the grain makes it sort of work, and the orange in bold and unmistakable, bringing out the best of the hops and helping this finish bitter like i want in an ipa, this is a drinker not a one and done, and i like that too. i also get nuances of lemongrass and coconut, floral white tea, and honeysuckle, and i think the hops are on point for it, herbal and citrusy in their own right, some ripe melon in there too, and orange from that side as well. good carbonation and balance, and despite the name, its not an adjunct driven gimmick. cool offering for this time of year and again, i am stoked to see some new pelican stuff around the market, seems like a bunch all came around at once. stoked on these guys and hope to hit the brewery on the coast next week! this one has me all fired up!
