This beer pours a golden orange with a medium head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is tropical with a nice malt body. Good hop taste without much bitterness or bite. A little bit of dankness, but over all a very good beer. Rated 10-14-2022

killer new ipa from these guys, lots of great new pelican stuff in my life lately, thankful for that. this is great, majorly modern but also clearer and west coast style with some bitterness in addition to the new school dry hopping, all nectaron, or mostly anyway, delicious and quite versatile in this context, an impressive and drinkable ipa overall, i like everything about this. sunny golden color from the tap here, average white head, looks light for its abv strength, no real malt color or anything. the aroma is awesome, sliced peaches, apricots, and yeah, nectarines. also white grape, honeydew melon, and a more familiar citra hop type of lemongrass and meyer lemon vibe, all exceedingly fresh. the flavor is juicy and ripe and summery, fruity without being tropical in the more common sense, although maybe a splash of mango here, its stone fruit, a little pear, and a resplendent cleanness and brightness, maybe some white wheat in the malt bill, pils malt, its simple, pale, and lightish bodied, surprised its even as strong as it is, drinks almost refreshing. i like the finishing bitterness too, its not over the top, but right as the fruity hops are tending a little sweet, this aspect rises up and makes the whole thing finish fast, clean, and balanced. really highly refined brew, great dry hop on it, tidy ferment, and overall something i want to drink again and again. maybe my favorite of the new pelican beers i got to try recently. stoked to be heading to their new brewery this weekend!
edit: no surprise this is a whole lot better brand new, had a less than fully fresh one this weekend and it has really fallen off, the fruitiness is all but gone, still some things to like, but as with most hoppy beers, infinitely better when its new. a casualty of the beer fridge...
