Had last night, pours a dark golden color with a nice head that goes away rather quickly. The aroma is fruity and bready. The taste is slightly sweet and tropical fruit and melon. Dankness is not something that I really taste. This is a medium to strong bodied beer with a nice finish. Rated6-4-2023

12oz can from Fred Meyer. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of peach, grapefruit, orange and sweet caramel. Nice fruity taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Pours a rich gold/copper color with a thick white head. Smells of sweet malt with a bit of a pine scent. Tastes of caramel and sweet bread, with a mild pine bitterness. A good full flavored IPA.

Clear dark orangey amber brew with long-lasting foam in the Blanche de Chambly glass. Lively mouthfeel. Woodsy dank aroma. Some malty sweetness to start before the hop flavors begin to rumble. This is a hop powerhouse with no space for any other flavors. Dank and resiny, piney, dark. Very bitter with a woody aftertaste. It's actually drinkable, but best enjoyed in sips. Overall: tongue numbing. From the 12 oz can purchased in Washington. Brewed and canned in Tillamook. Dated 05.18.23.

loving all the new pelican hoppy stuff! this one is a little old school, west coast for sure, piney and resinous and kind of dank but not overly bitter, gorgeous crystal malt balance but still on the drier side, full flavored and really clear and bright and well refined, freshness on point too, as good from the can as it is from the tap, im stoked on this one, sort of what ipa used to be like, i miss it! light copper hue to this, gorgeous clarity and shine, and a lasting inch of sudsy thick just off white head, lovely looking pour. the nose is pine sap and fresh mowed grass with a light northwestern spicy hop note, great complexion here with freshness and intensity maxed out but nothing green or harsh about it. nutty semisweet underlayer of grain, neutral ferment, clean and snappy. the flavor is pine driven, juniper and spruce notes, herbal tea, pithy citrus, and green clover. nice malt balance with a soft honey note and a fresh baked bread vibe, good structure too but only medium bodied overall, lighter up front, fuller in the middle, quicker on the swallow. there is some lasting bitterness but its so pleasant, so familiar and fresh, and this whole thing is clean, no pennies, no alcohol, no real residual sugar. fine carbonation, super drinkable for its slightly inflated abv, this is really exceptional!

edit: freshness is huge here, no surprise, had a less than brand new pint on tap last night and there is some definite skunk and sulfur on the back end, oxidation making the grain seem metallic, and a general harshness, nothing like it was when it was fresher. leaving scores alone, but make sure to confirm dates with this one...

12 oz can from a six pack purchased from Plaid Pantry on Wallce, West Salem
$10.99
06/16/23..so a little over 5 weeks old.
Pours a darker PNW IPA gold/amber with a lovely thick and frothy off white head.
Strange aroma..pleasant but not very hoppy. Strawberries, melon etc.. Nice but not expected.
Taste starts of the same then getting a wee bit of Ye Ole Oregon dank. But still mixed with the strawberries, melons and lychee. It all balance out in the end to a pretty cool flavor.
mouth feel is above average for this style of IPA.
A very odd IPA but I like it.
( turns out it wasn't strawberry I was tasting but blackberry according to Pelicans blurb)

Look: Amber in color and nearly clear with a lofty off-white head that holds as a pillow and slowly calms, leaving webs of lacing behind
Aroma: Fruity Cannabis, blackberry jam, melon, light peach, pine, freshly baked bread, and wafts of diesel terpenes
Taste: Melon, peach, and dank open things up and are quickly followed by a resinous punch of pine sap and needles and juicy blackberries. The Cannabis-like flavors deepen to include gassy and lemony notes and bready malt holds it all together until it closes with a nice bite and light booze
Mouthfeel: Full – flirting with chewy, medium-high carbonation, and medium strength dryness on the finish
Overall: This is good stuff. I didn’t realize this was a ‘dank IPA’ until I had my sixer prepared to purchase and got more excited as I dig that aroma/flavor profile and this lived up to it. Lots of dank-inspired notes in this but with plenty of malt presence to back it up. Tasty and I dig the name too

Clear gold with four plus fingers of dense cream color foam. Rings of fine bubble lace appear as the levels drop.
Smell is floral and rich.
Taste is dank pine tropical fruit and good malt support.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. The finish is dry and medium bitter.
Overall a decent and easy drinking WC IPA. Date 021523.
