Purchased in Jackson Hole, Wyoming as singles in May 2002
One time brew made for the Millennium Y2K Madness - not sure when it was released -12 oz bottle - States right on the bottle that it can be cellared, so I did. Opening this was exciting, even though its a lager I was hoping for perhaps a Bigfoot quality. Unfortunately it wasn't what I was expecting but good non the less.
Color is a deep golden bronze/coppery yellow with just a bit of fizzy head and bubbles. Smells of sweet malt and floral hops and spice, very clean and soft with caramel and sweetbread notes. Taste is good, mostly roasted malt thats sweet and robust with a caramel stickyness and smoothness that leads right into the spicy floral hop thats quickly biting and dry. Nothing overpowering, its balanced well. Surprising for having it sit for so long. I wish I new what the % was cuz it seems strong and makes its presence in the end. Its sneaky. This was a pretty nice surprise, I don't cellar much beer, but this had been sittng long enough and staring me in the face for long enough. When I first purchased it, I had bought four bottles, I had two right away and saved the other two. One left, thats for next year maybe.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
