Picked up at the taproom, canned three days earlier. Can says German-style leichtbier, 4%abv. Poured into a narrow pint glass.
Look: pale, faint orange tinge. White insubstantial head, dissipates quickly. Some lacing.
Smell: pilsner-like hops, faint malt
Taste: more aggressively hopped than pilsners I’m used to but certainly not an IPA. Nice hops persistence. Pale malt flavor.
Feel: consistent with the “leicht” appellation it’s very easy drinking but not watery. I could easily down a few of these while cooking. Little carbonation.
Overall: great beer for summer, satisfying hops presence for someone who drinks a lot of IPAs. I would but this again.
