Named for Mike Mowrey, a Chambersburg native who spent over a decade playing third base in the majors before coming home to farm, work as a night watchman at Wilson College and during World War Il work at the Letterkenny Ordnance Depot. Rooted in the land, steady in the shadows, just like this altier. It's a traditional German-style brew with notes of toasted bread and biscuit, a touch of honeyed malt, and a clean balanced bitterness that keeps it honest.

On draught at the brewery.
A beautiful amber color with a thick beige head that settles into a thin collar and leaves some rings of lacing up top.
The toasted barley malt has a nice caramel flavor, a little tea like, honey biscuits, hints of leather malt well with the caramel, pleasant hops bitterness, a bit earthy, leafy.
A crisp, pleasant tang and carbonation tickle on the finish.
A really good Alt Bier, definitely an under appreciated style.
Note that the bartender wrote the Wrong ABV percentage on my crowler (photo), should have been 4.5%, Oops
