this place is incredible, highly recommended, a very unique concept too, brewery and seafood house, sushi and raw stuff, asian inspired but quite diverse, all super fresh, prepared in an open kitchen right there in front of you at the bar, love the pairing of beer with this type of cuisine, and the beer is well crafted for it, the whole experience is fabulous, and i already am eager to go back. smallish spot in right on the arts district drag, but this is not just another generic taproom, of which there are a fair few here. small spot, the bar is the place to sit, but the have some tables around the narrow space. from the bar area you can see the whole kitchen operation as well as a pass through the brewery, modest operation, so i was surprised and delighted that they had darn near 20 of their own beers flowing! some neat asian art in here, bustling energy but still cozy too, very social space really, easy to meet strangers at the bar, and we kind of had service by committee and everyone was cool, well informed, and excited, very solid and professional. the beers were exceptional across the board, a spicy fresh ginger blonde ale, a very unique red rice lager, italian pils, even english dark mild on nitro, all of them stellar, and seemingly designed in most instances to partner with the food. i liked all the beers we had, and would have loved to drink through the rest of the lineup, they all have some intrigue! the food needs to also be discussed. dynamic and fresh seafood, we had a mess of plates, mostly raw but all interesting, including oysters and some banging sauces for them, all insanely fresh, all made right in front of us, all truly expert, would have loved to rip into the menu a little harder because of how good all we ordered was, next time im coming here absolutely starving. this place is not to be missed, such a fun area too off the strip, a lot more culture out here, and this place is class. killer beers, all very drinkable and unique, exceptional food.
