In many ways, the German-style kolsch is the most lager-like of all lager beers. ...except- its no lager at all! The hybrid beer finds greater favor among fans of lager however, because it's a softer grain armature, its hopping rates are more in balance with the malt and its floral upstart is supported by a delicate ester medley.
Spastic Koln pours like any lager impersonator will- bright straw the the calmest of haze. Its frothy, cottony head provides an aromatic energy that's moderate with lemon, apple, sulfur and fresh baked bread. Its grainy-sweet taste is supple and soft, bready and delicate with cookie dough.
As the flavors set in, they do so with a relaxed sweetness of grain and malt. Its bready taste and textures recede as the fruit esters of apple and lemon begin to replace its floral hop display and the taste begins to crispen, showing a medium hop balance of pepper and lemongrass.
Crisp, clean, refreshing and built for a high rate of consumption, the hybrid beer finishes dry and medium-light on the palate. With an after current of apple and sulfur, the beer is lightly rustic and friendly.

ATG does it again when it comes to witty naming but delivers an average Kolsch. Light cracker malt, some cereal grain and an almost Pilsner taste this is exceptionally easy to drink.
