This variant did not deliver. The appearance was similar to the base but thinner. The nose was dark malts, some bourbon and smoke, and porporri. Unfortunately the taste was very strong lavender porporri. The flowers and lavender took a front seat and dominated. The feel was similar to the other 2015 variants: thin.
I'm a fan of ATG and consider B&L the best beer from the bluegrass state. Unfortunately this variant was a little too against the grain. I am just calling it like I see it. Conversely the 2015 regular was amazing but that isn't being reviewed.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
